I love how Ry is already in his board shorts ready to surf the minute we get to the hotel... I'm still in my travel clothes, but insisted we get a family pic before he took off in the water

One of Van's firsts on this trip was the sand... we've been to the beach with him before, but he was too little to play in the sand. As you can tell, he LOVED it! Needless to say I was changing sandy, poopy diapers for the rest of the vacation!

We got to use the new baby hiking pack we bought, and it was awesome. Van loved being in there, carted around everywhere by his daddy... We hiked to The Blue Room Cave, Lumahi Beach, and Queen's Bath, but the most intense was an 8 mile hike to a waterfall along the Napali coast which took us 6 hours round trip! It was long and hard, but extremely worth it... I didn't take pics of the waterfall because I figured I'd get copies from my dad, sorry!

Lindsay and Darren stayed behind to watch Van while the rest of us went horseback riding. Darren and Van needed this time together because for some reason every time Darren would look at Van, he would cry... http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10150123896929796&set=a.10150097580739796.281872.511519795&theater
Luckily this bonding time worked, and by the end of the trip they were the best of friends :)
Van took the BEST naps while in Hawaii... I think all the playing and sun just really wore him out! (He's in the monster towel!)
This little boy finally has some tan lines :)
Daddy and Van had so much fun together... after we got home and Ry had to go back to work, he said it was weird not seeing Van as much
Love this face... he had so much fun in the sand!
Another first for Van... Shave Ice from Hawaii. He OF COURSE loved it!!
All of the activities sure wore Van out... we had so much fun, but we are happy to be home again :)

SO FUN!!! It looks like Van had such a great time! That is always Ryan's favorite part of vacation too...being able to see the kids all day! Glad you guys had so much fun!!
