For the 4th of July this year, we went up to Mamaw and Papa's cabin. It was nice to escape the heat of the valley (even though we heard it was rainy and cool on the 4th in Gilbert area). Kamara, Gregg and their kids were also at the cabin, so Van had a lot of cousins to keep him entertained. In the morning on the 4th, we went into Showlow to watch the parade. It reminded me a lot of the Aurora, UTparade I would watch with my family each year growing up...

Sydney helped Van pick up the candy that was thrown from the people in the parade. He was so excited, and ended up getting quite a bit! Thanks, Sydney!!

We spent the rest of the day relaxing at the cabin, Ryan took some of the kids on a rhino ride, and then later that night we watched the fireworks...
