Disney Days

On Wednesday, July 25th Susan, Dennis, Ryan, Chealsey, Van and I drove to Southern California for 2 work installs.  Brooke met up with us that night when we got into town.  Here's Van sitting with Dennis in the Penske...

 

All day Thursday the men worked like crazy getting EVERYTHING unpacked and put into place. Friday morning we were at it again, when a boxcutter fell off the counter onto Susan's foot and sliced it right open! After flailing around on the floor for awhile, she ended up going to the urgent care to receive 7 stitches in her foot. Although it was sad, it was kind of a blessing in disguise, as we got to go in the wheelchair lines at Disneyland!

We were able to get a great deal on 3 day park hopper tickets, so Friday night was our first day there.  We went to California Adventure, where Van got to see Cars Land... he was in heaven!

On Saturday we ended up spending the whole day at Disneyland.

I think meeting Mickey Mouse was one of Van's favorite things he experienced at Disneyland, even though you can't tell by the expression on his face.  He gave him a hug, high five, and knuckles.  He still talks about it and has asked to watch the video recording of it everyday since.

He was also happy to drive the car in Autopia... didn't want Ryan's help at all!

On Sunday Ryan and Dennis flew back to Arizona, so us girls and Van spent the rest of the day relaxing. On Monday morning we went right back to work.  We finished around 3:00 and decided to do a beach day... we went to one of my favorite beaches, Corona Del Mar.

Then we headed up to Huntington Beach to eat dinner at another favorite, Duke's... I got the salmon, which was delish, and then we all shared this HUGE, AMAZING dessert!

On Tuesday we did the final touches to our 2 projects, then spent the rest of the day at Disneyland and California Adventure.  Here we are on the teacups...

I'm happy we had time to play a little on this work trip.  We had so much fun with Van, this being his first adventures at Disneyland and California Adventure!  He sure thought it was the happiest place on earth :)
